A Czech mountain hut located at an altitude of about 1010 m above sea level, on a flattening below the summit of Palasz (1027 m above sea level), less than a kilometre from the Polish border. The hut was built as the “Silesian House” in 1932 in order to activate the tourist gap between Śnieżnik and Hrubý Jeseník was expanded many times. The current name simply means a ray. From the terrace there is a view of the aforementioned Hrubý Jeseník.

St. Christopher's Chapel

At the shelter there is a junction of hiking trails (green from Stare Miasto pod Śnieżnik, yellow from Branna and red - from Medvedi bouda to Ramzowa) and a wooden chapel of St. Christopher. Below the shelter there is a ski resort with lifts and downhill and cross-country trails. Currently (2019) on the nearby Vetrov peak, a replica of the old observation tower from Śnieżnik is being built (planned opening: spring 2021).
