The city has no shortage of interesting monuments. One of them is the St. John's Bridge, a two-span Gothic structure of the city dating back to 1565. Legend has it that the bridge owes its incredible strength to a special binder, which was supposedly prepared from egg whites. On the bridge stands a statue of St. John of Nepomuk from 1709. This is a very valuable object, in the Middle Ages there was still a customs house next to the bridge.

Interestingly, the bridge in Lądek Zdrój has withstood all the floods that have hit the city so far. It is said that the statue of St. John of Nepomuk that decorates the bridge protects it from the great flood. The statue of St. John of Nepomuk. It is based on the statue of Nepomuk from the famous Charles Bridge in Prague. The statue of Lądek Zdrój is one of the oldest sculptures of Nepomuk in the whole of Silesia.

The second bridge that we recommend seeing is the Covered Bridge over Biała Łądecka. It is located at Kościuszki Street 34. It is a very interesting point on the map of the city. It was probably built at the beginning of the 20th century, when Dr. Herrmann got the sanatorium buildings on both sides of the river. It was decided to connect them with a somewhat fairy-tale covered bridge. It was part of the sanatorium complex "Sanatorium Lądek". Around the bridge rustles a very valuable stand of trees, in which you can find Japanese Nikko fir or Engelmann spruce from the Rocky Mountains. The Covered Bridge in Lądek Zdrój is the only such facility in Poland, it is amazing.
